There are many things that go into the workings of a farm…especially when there are animals involved. Imagine having over 50 animals and fowl depending on you twice a day, 365 days a year?! These animals depend on us and you to provide a healthy diet and a safe place to call home. These animals also play an important role in your community. HOOF is offers educational and therapeutic farm programs, they play a special role in creating awareness, education, and provide a nurturing environment for children and adults. Some of the programs the animals play a role in are a petting farm, farm yoga, cuddling sessions, educational tours, educational presentations, and interactive fundraisers.

Our farm is open Monday – Saturday and our volunteer spots available for helping around the farm are either a full day (9.30-3.30) or a half day (9.30-12.30/12.30-3.30). Many of the jobs that come with this volunteer spot are not glamorous and can be dirty and grueling (cleaning habitats, collecting manure, cleaning workspaces, etc.) but these jobs are very important to the health and safety of our animals. We also have volunteers that help us during scheduled educational group tours, fundraisers on and off-site, and birthday parties on and off-site.

We do understand that this is not your real home and not a real job, but we ask that you take it seriously because we do depend on you, as do our animals.
